Victorville Bridge

TKDA spearheads BNSF’s bridge replacement, balancing construction and environmental conservation at Mojave

BNSF owns and operates two single-track structures across the Mojave River, approximately 165 feet and 200 feet long. With in-service components over 100 years old, the structure approached the end of its useful service life and was replaced with a new, independent double-track bridge.

The new structure is 250 feet long, and the spans are supported on reinforced concrete substructures supported by deep or anchored foundations. Overall, the project was developed to be constructed within the existing BNSF Right-Of-Way. Additionally, all construction activities, both temporary and permanent, were completed without encroaching below the Mojave River’s Ordinary High Water mark.
