Fixed Based Operator Hangar

TKDA Helps Secure Funding for New Hangar at Waseca Municipal Airport

The Waseca Municipal Airport and its Fixed Based Operator (FBO) required additional hangar space to accommodate aircraft maintenance and storage for transient aircraft. The airport had long sought after this facility, but the funding to make it a reality had never come to fruition. Working closely with Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Aeronautics staff, TKDA helped obtain the necessary state funding to make this project possible.

The new FBO hangar consists of an 80-foot by 80-foot fully insulated pre-manufactured steel building. A suspended mezzanine constructed across the rear of the hangar provides additional aircraft parts storage while maintaining the entire floor area for maintenance and aircraft storage purposes. Heating and plumbing in the hangar allow for year-round aircraft
