TKDA and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport: Celebrating Over 75 Years of Continuous Design Excellence

TKDA and the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) have an extensive shared history of successful projects at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). Our knowledge of MSP and ability to work with MAC staff in developing, refining, designing, and constructing airfield projects brings insight and efficiency to every task. The MAC/TKDA team’s success is due to our effective coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), airlines, tenants, utility companies, fuel committees, regulatory agencies, and other consultants.

For over 75 years, TKDA has been the sole provider of pavement design, airport construction, and maintenance at MSP, with nationally recognized results. Just as the airport and the industry have evolved over that time span, TKDA’s aviation engineering services at the airport have grown and expanded to include:

  • Runway, Taxiway, and Aircraft Apron Maintenance and Reconstruction
  • Deicing Pads, Glycol Facilities and Tanks
  • Airfield Lighting and Runway Safety Improvements
  • Fueling System Upgrades
  • GIS Services
  • Concourse Expansions
  • Airfield Electrical Distribution Centers
  • Fiber Infrastructure Upgrades and Documentation
  • Perimeter Security
  • Passenger Boarding Bridge Replacement
  • Bridge and Tunnel Inspection
